Voidcutter is a Melee Weapon from the Cyber Heist DLC in The Ascent. Voidcutter is an energy sword. Weapons are located on the loadout screen where players may assign a Primary, Secondary and Tactical Weapon. Available weapons consist of different Sidearms, Machineguns, Shotguns, Precision Weapons, Excessive Weapons, and Melee Weapons, while other gadgets take up the tactical weapon slot. Each weapon contains varying stats that are also accessible from the loadout menu. Melee Weapons in The Ascent can only be accessed if players own the Cyber Heist DLC.

Where to Find Voidcutter

• Can be found inside a red chest in the BioChoice Pharma Nutrition Lab "dungeon" just outside of the Harbour town area of the Dark Playground arcology during the Main Mission, Critical Resource.
  • The dungeon entrance is just Northeast of town on the edge of the map, about one block away from the lift where you first take your guns out.
  • Once inside the dungeon, follow the spiral maze of rooms until you reach the central room. Inside is a red chest containing the Voidcutter, but high-level enemies will spawn continuously in this area. (You may want to Authorize the locked door near the South of the room before making a grab at the weapon, so that you can take a quick shortcut back to the central room in case of death.)

Voidcutter Upgrades

In order to upgrade your weapon, you will need to speak to the Gun Smith and provide the required number of resources to increase its level. There are three types of components that are found through looting areas, establishments, chests, crates, from bodies, defeated enemies, and can also be acquired as a reward for completing certain Missions.
