Harlan is an NPC in The Ascent. NPCs in The Ascent feature a group of interactive non playable characters, introduced across different Locations, each playing an important part in the lore. Harlan Background Information
Harlan has always been the curious sort, afflicted with a deep wanderlust and desire to experience sights unseen. And yet, at the same time, he has an absolute oversion to leaving his hab. It can be tricky for an adventurer to see the world without ever leaving the comfort (and immaculate cleanliness) of his home. Or is it? Recent advances in real-time VR broadcasting have made it possible to set up remote omni-cams in certain locations, which will allow you to jack into the tangle and experience the spot as if you were really there (while staying pleasantly safe from all the grit and grime).
Harlan is all about seeing the world without leaving his hab, so how about you help him out? We know you can use the exercise. And who knows, maybe you'll see a few new sights yourself along the way.
