Find & Replace is a Main Mission that requires the Cyber Heist DLC in The Ascent. Main Missions mainly focus on progressing the main campaign and story of the game where you explore the world of Veles to find out what has happened through the arcology. Completing missions grants various rewards such as Weapons, Armor, and more, but most importantly, it yields EXP that is allocated into leveling up the player's character.

 

yCorp has offered me a contract to perform an extraction of a valuable asset from the heart of the world by their arch rivals - the Malhorst Gelb Corporation.

 

Find & Replace Objectives

The Dark Playground

You'll receive a call from Kira asking you to meet her at Cluster 13. After meeting up and speaking with Kira regarding your new contract, immediately follow the green icon on your map or Minimap to get to the Pier that will bring you to the Dark Playground. Kira Basically wants you to extract a valuable asset from the heart of the world controlled by their arch-rival The Malhorst Corporation. From Cluster 13, you can get to "The Edge" by passing through Pod Lot and The Warrens. Prepare for possible enemies on your way to The Edge. Once you arrive at the Edge, fight through the last remaining enemies until you reach the far left of the area where you'll find a shuttle that will take you to the Dark Playground.

Once you arrive at the Dark Playground or the Harbour, a cutscene will play out introducing and showcasing the new area that you've arrived to. Head North East and follow the green icon on your HUD or Minimap to locate Ontario's Place, your contact's Bar.

Locating the Tnet Server

After meeting up and speaking with Ontario at his Bar regarding the Defector that they want extracted, you'll first need to locate the Comms Tunnel Access point where the Defector last logged. Open your map and head over to the Industrial Zone, due North West from where you currently are. Prepare yourself again for enemies you'll encounter along the way, as well as an enemy mech that's waiting by the entrance of the factory.

Once you reach the industrial zone or the Canary Mech Factory, fight your way through the horde of enemies until you reach the comms service tunnel where the comms node is located.

After fighting through the horde of enemies travelling through the comms service tunnel, clear out the remaining enemies guarding the room in which the comms node is located then activate it. From here, you'll next have to leave the Industrial Zone and make your way to Ratatoskr Virtden located at the Commercial District of the Harbour or the Dark Playground where the Tnet server could be.

Find the Location of Dr. Lindstrom

Upon reaching Ratatoskr Virtden, fight your way through the hordes of enemies until you reach the right side of Ratatoskr Virtden. There will be a secret passage that you can access by Hacking. After clearing the enemies that are in the secret passage, locate the Tnet server and access the logs. From here, you'll discover that the Defector's name is Dr. Isa Lindstrom, who is currently residing at the Apex Apartment Housing Complex in the Adminzone, 2nd floor, Suite 238.

After leaving Ratatoskr Virtden, make your way to Dr. Lindstrom's apartment in the Adminzone. You'll come across multiple enemies again upon arrival in the Adminzone, so be prepared to fight them off. After clearing out the first wave of enemies on the first floor, follow the green icon which will lead you to an elevator that goes to the Apex Residential Complex of Dr. Lindstrom. There will only be a few enemies in the complex, so make sure to head to room 238 after clearing them out.

Upon entering Dr. Lindstrom's room, head up the stairs and speak with her, this will trigger a cutscene. Unfortunately during the cutscene, Dr. Lindstrom is assassinated by a sniper across the building while your character survives. This marks the completion of the Find & Replace mission.
